LaMar Van Dusen - Business Consultant Specialist

LaMar Van Dusen is a Toronto-based business consultant with a long track record in business marketing, corporate and managerial finance, financial analysis, sourcing, staffing, sales and consulting. His experience in these areas has enabled him to develop a full range of effective strategies and solutions for entrepreneurs and business owners.
Lamar Van Dusen studied business administration and marketing at St. Clair College and earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Windsor University.
In 2014, Van Dusen launched his own full-service bookkeeping and accounting firm. Working from his home office, he started out by building business plans for independent business owners and helping them secure capital to start and grow their business.
Van Dusen developed a unique service that combined finance consulting with principled accounting. His firm also became the leading company in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) to offer full-service bookkeeping and corporate accounting for a monthly flat fee, giving business owners access to many more resources, with a simplified service approach and no hidden costs.
In the past three years, the firm has grown to include a support staff of two full time CPAs, bookkeepers and administrative assistants. It now offers full service bookkeeping and accounting and a range of other service offerings that include: business plan creation, finance consulting, business management, government grants and strategy advisory services. The firm manages a broad range of bookkeeping clients on a monthly basis and an additional corporate and sole proprietorship for year-end tax returns.
Prior to launching his own firm, LaMar Van Dusen served as Vice President of Sales for Advanced Presentation Products. In his two-year tenure there, he built a strong sales team that went from producing $6 million to $10 million in sales. He also worked in the employment and staffing industry, serving as an account executive with Robert Half and Flexmore Staffing.
Van Dusen is a member of the Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce, the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business and other Canadian professional organizations.
Passionate about charitable causes — and especially in helping child burn victims, Van Dusen established the Rise of the Phoenix Foundation to help these children with travel, hotel stay and medical expenses. He is also an active supporter of Camp Bucko, a burn camp in Ontario for kids aged 7 to 17.
LaMar Van Dusen enjoys a number of sports- and fitness-related activities in his spare time, including workout training four days as week, playing football, coaching his son’s football team and going on fishing trips.
